Home Builders Foundation's mid-year review

Halfway through the year, and the Home Builders Foundation of Metro Denver has finished 40 accessible home modifications for homeowners in the area. At this pace, the Foundation, which is the charity of choice for the Denver Metro Home Builders Association, is on track to complete 20 more projects than last year.

With record attendance and more than 50 sponsors, this year's Grapes & Galleries raised $65,000 for the Home Builders Foundation. The June 12 event, which was sponsored by Weyerhauser (presenting sponsor), Alpine Lumber and Brookfield Residential (Shiraz sponsors), started at the JW Marriott hotel in Cherry Creek and progressed to tastings at a dozen shops, galleries or restaurants in north Cherry Creek. Check out the HBF's Facebook page to see if your picture is there.

And this year's Blitz Build is scheduled for August 21, 22 and 23. The HBF expects to build 15 ramps this year, with the help of homebuilders, contractors, remodelors, trades and volunteers. Sponsorships are still availableand the HBF can use volunteers to deliver food and take pictures.
