2017 CARE Awards Recognizes best in the Remodeling Industry
The Custom Builders and Remodelers Council (CBRC) of the HBA of metro Denver held the 20th annual CARE (Colorado Awards for Remodeling Excellence) Awards on Thursday, September 28nd. The event was held at the CU South Denver (formerly the Wildlife Experience).It was a night to remember as remodeling projects, architects, designers, and builders from around the Denver metro area were recognized for their exemplary work in the remodeling capacity throughout the Denver metro area. The CARE Awards is the largest ceremony in Colorado focusing specifically on the remodeling industry.
As more than 120 guests enjoyed a sit-down dinner, the awards presentation featured
more than 50 winners in various categories including: best kitchen remodel, best basement remodel, best pro-bono remodel, best bathroom remodel, best exterior remodel, and best whole house remodel, just to name a few. The Closet Factory highlighted the evening by taking home six awards for their outstanding work in various categories. Other winners with multiple awards throughout the evening included: D’Amore Interiors, Denver Design Build, Design Matters, Division One Construction, EHeart Interior Solutions, Godden|Sudik Architecture, HŌM Solutions, Perspectives, Studio 10, The Artisan Shop, Trio Environments, and Truss Interior and Renovations.
Kitchen Distributors won the Gold award for Best Luxury Kitchen Remodel, for The Glenmoor Country Club Residence where the judges were impressed by the classic details, great design, and the functionality of the space with subtle elegance.
The Gold award for Whole House Remodel over $1 million went to Division One Construction Build for their Dahlia Street Residence project. The judges were quoted to say:
• “I want to live there”
• “They made a contemporary more contemporary”
• “The great mix of exterior materials warms up the façade”
• “They drove a stake through the heart of the 1980's thank goodness”
The Gold award for Best Luxury Bath Remodel went to Bollinger Design Group and Boa Construction for their Polo Reserve Remodel. Judges were taken by the elegant and enlarged shower space and the Spa-like atmosphere with upgraded and updated finishes and fixtures, as well as the contemporary single level vanity and improved lighting.
The night ended with the highly coveted awards for Project of the Year, Associate of the Year, and Remodeler of the Year.
Godden|Sudik Architects won project of the year for their “Ravenna Wine Cave” project. The judges were captivated by this project with its complexity, its thoughtful details and exquisite finishes. It also won in multiple categories!
Kimberly Timmons Interiors was awarded with Associate of the Year. This long-time member of the HBA has been active in the Sales & Marketing Council as well as being a dynamic member in the community through various outreach programs. And through the many awards they were recognized with at the Gala.
The Remodeler of the Year award went to Jenni Russell and HŌM Solutions. This company has many outstanding employees and delivers an amazing end-result to their clients. They have a project manager that has kept the CARE committee on track for the past several years, and we wouldn’t have celebrated yet another successful CARE Gala without Jenni Russell and HŌM Solutions.
The evening’s awards presentation was completed so efficiently that attendees had time to mingle a bit longer with the winners for photos and dessert afterward.
