Committee Members

The Government Affairs Committee is comprised of 17 voting members, who meet ten times a year to work on issues throughout the 8 counties and 34 municipalities comprising the HBA of Metro Denver Charter. 

Annual Dues / Membership Requirements

There are no additional fees to be a part of the GAC. Members must be an HBA member in good standing

About the Government Affairs Committee

To serve as a recommending body to the HBA Executive Committee and Board of Directors for policy development and action on the government affairs issues of either local or statewide impact to the home building industry. 

The Government Affairs Committee is comprised of 17 members, 12 of which are builder members who represent both publicly and privately held companies that include high volume, mid-sized volume and custom home builders. Four committee members are Associate members and one additional member is a representative of the Metro Housing Coalition. At least one of the 17 Committee members is also a current member of the HBA's Board of Directors, which provides a liaison between the Committee and the Board.

Purpose

To ensure broad representation by informed members, selecting Government Affairs Committee members considers a member's area of expertise, active involvement in other HBA committees or councils and participation on the CAHB Board of Directors or standing committees. The President appoints the Committee Chair.
