How did you get started in your career? 

I began as an attorney after graduating from the University of Colorado School of Law. I was an attorney for 10 years and worked for 7 years representing developers, home builders, general contractors and subcontractors on a variety of matters, including defending developers and home builders in construction defect actions.

What accomplishment or contribution to the Home Building industry are you most proud?

I’m proud of the legal work I performed defending well-intentioned and quality home builders who were pursued for overstated damage claims. The work was particularly rewarding when we were able to prove that a builder had done nothing wrong and the claimed damages were not the result of defective construction.

Tell us 3 things about yourself that people don’t know.

I’m not sure if everyone who knows me doesn’t know these, but many don’t:

1.       completed 3 Olympic-distance triathlons

2.       visited Macchu Picchu

3.       sold software services for 1 year
