The Metro Housing Coalition is the political committee of the Home Builders Association of Metro Denver. Led by a Board of Directors, which is comprised of up to 20 Builder and Association members, the MHC works to educate local and state government officials about HBA issues throughout the election process, individual meetings, workshops and events. The premier event being the annual Political Forum. The 2015 MHC Political Forum was held September 30th at the Highlands Ranch Mansion. Guests were treated to music from the Ptarmigan String Quartet and self-guided mansion tours.
Board Director, Diana Rael, Norris Design said, “2015 was another successful year for the Metro Housing Coalition’s Political Forum. In its fourth year, the event sold out with an outstanding panel of speakers including Mayor Steve Hogan from the City of Aurora, Adams County Commissioner Erik Hansen, and Deputy Chief of Staff Evan Dreyer from the City and County of Denver. Over 160 attendees were present to mingle and listen to the discussion, led by incoming President Glenn Nier from Meritage Homes, which focused on the November ballot initiative “Yes on 1A for DIA”. We are already looking forward to next year’s forum and bringing our membership another informative evening."
