The Sales and Marketing Council (SMC) of the Home Builders Association of Metro Denver, is once again making unprecedented strides by being one of the first SMC’s in the nation to launch the new MIRM program in July 2015, to the top sales, marketing and home building professionals in Colorado.
The Masters in Residential Marketing (MIRM) designation was developed through the National Association of Home Builders and is the highest achievement for new home sales and marketing professionals. This course has been completely revamped this year, to benefit those who work in the home building industry and demonstrate a commitment to continued industry knowledge and professionalism. Earning the MIRM designation sets you apart from the competition and increases your marketability as a professional in the construction industry.
“Participating in the MIRM Education Program was the single most important professional development program that I have ever experienced,” said David Miles, president of Milesbrand, and title sponsor of Denver’s July program. “Until I went through the MIRM process, I was focused exclusively on marketing. Now I have a comprehensive understanding of the home building industry; vastly improving our marketing efforts for our clients. I truly believe in the value it brings to everyone who attends.”
Miles was instrumental in developing the curriculum for the new program, along with Meredith Oliver, a fellow MIRM recipient and course instructor for the classroom portion of the program on July 29th and 30th. In total, four MIRM classes are pivotal components of earning the MIRM designation. Two online courses will help participants begin to build the skills necessary to get homebuilding projects to market and continually monitor their success, understand builder and developer roles, conduct market research and determine site selection. Additionally, participants will learn how to develop an effective marketing strategy to reach the desired audience. Both online courses are completed separately and are a pre-requisite to the classroom courses.
The final two courses will take place in a classroom setting that digs a little deeper into research and analysis to explain the impact of financial considerations on development decisions, and how to develop a detailed product analysis. Participants will also learn the strategy behind developing a marketing plan and how to implement appropriate channels and messaging based on the target market, as well as determine tactics based on product and location.
The costs for this inaugural program is only $500 for all four classes and is open to all HBA and NAHB members, both in Colorado and out of state. To learn more about the MIRM Designation Courses and to register, visit http://bit.ly/1ek3o4v.
