One by one, a trio of Democratic bills attempting to address Colorado's affordable-housing crisis without litigation reform fell by the wayside Monday — winding up as dead as the bipartisan effort to reduce construction-defects lawsuits that had fallen before it.

So, even as legislators on both sides of the aisle continue to remark on the runaway rates paid by Colorado apartment dwellers — median Denver-area rents rose 13 percent year-over-year in the first quarter— the Legislature will end the 2015 session this week without taking any steps to attempt to address the situation.  Read the rest of this article on Denver Business Journal
