Almost 700 new homes, all priced below $400,000, are coming to northeast Denver.

Village Homes of Colorado recently broke ground on a 698-home community as part of Denver Connection, a mixed-use development at Chambers Road and Green Valley Boulevard.

Single family homes at Village Homes at Denver Connection are expected to range in size from 1,245 to 2,462 square feet.

Homes will be priced from the mid-$200,000 to the high $300,000s.

The average price of all homes sold at the end of September was $396,706, according to the Denver Metro Association of Realtors.

The average price of a single-family home closed at the end of last month was $440,937.

Village Homes is offering buyers both traditional and contemporary architectural designs.

“This is a very thoughtfully designed and amenitized community,” said Jeff McGovern, Colorado division manager of Village Homes.

“It will have broad appeal to people who work at nearby companies, DIA and Downtown Denver, especially those who travel a lot, want an easily accessible location in the City and County of Denver and are looking for a homeownership opportunity with lifestyle flexibility,” McGovern said.

Village Homes plans to build 284 single family detached homes and 414 townhomes on the 115-acre site.  Read the story
