NAHB Honors Robert August as 2015 Sales and Marketing Educator of the Year

WASHINGTON, D.C., – In recognition of his successful efforts to educate builders, remodelers and
other industry professionals on high‐performance and sustainable construction, the National Association
of Home Builders (NAHB) has named Robert August, CSP, CMP, Master CSP, MIRM, the 2015 Sales and
Marketing Educator of the Year.

August is president of North Star Synergies, an executive business development strategy firm in

Centennial, Colo., and teaches a number of classes for sales professionals in the home building industry.

August has served NAHB as chairman of the National Sales and Marketing Council and as president of

the Institute of Residential Marketing.

August’s most recent awards include the Home Builders Association of Metro Denver 2013 Legends

Award for Lifetime Achievement in Sales and Marketing, the 2014 Master Certified New Home Sales

Professional of the Year and the 2014 NAHB Leader in Membership Retention and Recruitment.

“Robert doesn’t just talk about the importance of education. He also works to stay current, and even

ahead, of industry trends so he can better teach the home builders, remodelers and other industry

professionals who take these classes,” said 2015 NAHB Education Chair Tom Stephani, CAPS, CGP, CGR,

GMB and MIRM, an Illinois custom home builder and instructor.

August and other leading industry professionals were recognized on Jan. 18 at the Designation

Achievement Reception just before the 2016 NAHB International Builders’ Show in Las Vegas.
