Denver set another new peak in home price gains in April, according to the S&P Dow Jones Indices for S&P/Case-Shiller Home Price Indices. Yet like all but one of the Indices' 10- and 20-city composite, its annual rate slightly dropped. Denver's home price gain in April reached 150.59 — another new peak and a 1.6 percent gain over March's price gain. Yet its annual rate is now 8.9 percent, a .2 percent drop from the March rate of 9.1 percent.
