Brookfield Residential begins building in Solterra

Brookfield Residential opened a temporary office in the clubhouse of the Lakewood community, Solterra, the site of the HBA's Parade of Homes Industry night in 2012. Using the same building practices and energy efficient technologies as it did in Brookfield's Midtown at Clear Creek neighborhood last year (the site of last year's Parade Industry night), the homebuilder expects to have homes ready for families by the fall. 

One of Brookfield Homes' hallmarks is the building science used to build certified energy efficient scores — HERS — that supercede that of homes built to code. As such, Perry Cadman, Brookfield's general manager, said, "We believe these homes will inject an element into the Jefferson County market that buyers have never seen before. Homebuyers in that area now have an option for significant energy efficiency at a price and value previously unimagined."

Homes in Solterra start at $449,800, and Brookfield has six floor plans that range from 1,787 and 2,158 sq ft.Read more...
