Just in time for its open house April 26 -27, Markel Homes has opened a sales office in the recently finished model home in Louisville's North End Phase II. This expansion of the North End development is just east of the intersection of CO Highway 42 and 95th St. and north of South Boulder Road near Hecla Lake Open Space.

The EnergyStar® 3.0-certified green homebuilder also is building two net-zero homes next to its model home / sales office, and offers net-zero upgrades on any of the homes it builds, as well. Through solar power and other innovative features, the total amount of energy the home uses each year roughly equals the amount of energy it creates.

At North End Phase II, Markel features more than a dozen single family home plans in traditional, contemporary and newest designs at the site. Sales are going well there; several of the initial lots already have been sold.
