Homebuilders pulled 3,423 single family permits throughout the Denver metro area through June, according to Inside Real Estate News. That's a healthy 36.65 percent above last year's 2,505 for the same six-month period. And multifamily permits (mostly townhomes) were up nearly 43 percent, with 567 permits issued, compared to last year's 397. In the eight-county region, most of the permits were pulled in Aurora, followed by 422 in Castle Rock. Denver, however, was down 8.2 percent from last year, with 359 permits pulled.
