Cardel Homes introduces townhomes at Solterra

Cardel Homes has unveiled plans for 100 new townhomes — in fact, the only townhomes — that will be built in the newest phase of construction at Solterra, a master-planned community in Lakewood, which is developed by Brookfield Residential.

Cardel has two floorplans — a three-bedroom option and a two-bedroom with a study — that incorporate outdoor living with features like veranda-style decks or entertaining areas that can open wide to a patio. Both floorplans have two-car garages and basement storage. Pricing begins at $368,900 and $374,900 for the 1,688-1,693 sq ft townhomes.

Townhomes have been in demand since Solterra launched in 2008. With high demand expected to continue, prices are likely to increase multiple times by the end of the year, when the earliest move-in dates are planned.

"We believe the easy commute for work and play, and an affordable price for home ownership make it an irresistible offer," said Rod Mickelberry, Cardel Homes' regional president. "Solterra is near RTD's West Light Rail line and provides back-door access to 5,000 acres of open space, along with many other amenities like the clubhouse, infinity pool and off-leash dog park.

Cardel's townhome building phase adds to its existing offering of 12 single family floorplans that range from 1,882-2,953 sq ft and are priced from the low $400s. Its $4 million, six-home model complex is open for tours; the townhome models are expected to open later this year.
