On Thursday (2/22) board members of the Trade Council (TC) met with fellow trade partners at the William Lyon trade partner meeting. After an update from Jeff McGovern  the council addressed their 2018 council initiatives. Council Co-Chair’s Devin Bundy and Brooke Clanton, as well as council Secretary Sarah Hasebroock discussed working with builders to improve jobsite readiness, as well as combating the labor shortage that is plaguing the trades community. The council reviewed the Colorado Homebuilding Academy and their programs to train new candidates and help with job placement. The council also discussed the workforce grant that helps assist employers with the cost associated to hiring.  The council would like to give a huge THANK YOU to William Lyon Homes, Jeff McGovern and Eric McEachen. We would also like to thank Cheryl Schuette for the information provided on the Colorado Homebuilding Academy.  We look forward to working with more builders as we look to expand the Trade Council in 2018!
