I was hired as an On-site Sales Representative for Village Homes. I did that for a few years before I moved into the marketing department and worked my way up the ladder to Marketing Director. From there I worked for a variety of builders and developers including Laing Village LLC and Vail Resorts Development Company, before staring my own company in 2009.
Has there been someone along the way that you credit with helping you get to where you are? And why?
Cheryl Schuette, would be one person. She hired me at Village Homes and gave me my start in the industry. She taught me so much and I will forever be grateful. There were many others: Susan Peterson, Peter Tobin, Jerry Gloss and probably a dozen others that I'm forgetting. They all made a huge impact in my career in Home Building.
What do you love about the Home Building industry?
What do you love about the Home Building industry? I love theming and designing new communities. Creating a unique sense a place where people will live and grow their families is a huge thrill for me. It's wonderful to know that your ideas and implementation has made a difference in the lives of people.
Tell us 3 things people don’t know about you.
- I'm a grandmother of 4 - Kyrah, Cole, James and Madison;
- Lived in Germany in my 20's - an excellent experience to learn about !
- Was a Body Builder, way back in my early 20's, although you may not think that based on my body now, LOL!
Anything else you would like to share?
I'm very grateful for the opportunities that God has given me. I appreciate every experience that has been a part of my life, and I hope to make a positive difference in some small way.
