How did you get started in your career?
Homebuilding has been a part of my life ever since I can remember. I grew up walking model homes on the weekends with my Dad who has been in the industry for a long time. People joke that homebuilding is literally in my blood because of him. It was always an interest to me, and having a more creative side, I was able to combine my love of new homes and my creativity by learning and working in Marketing.
Definitely my Dad. Like I said before, when I was a kid our weekend activity was walking model homes or attending the big Parade of Homes tours and I loved it! He never pressured me to join the industry but seeing his success’ and contributions to it, I knew it could be a good fit for me as well. Also my team at Berkeley especially Jeff Willis and Rich Laws. They took a chance on me as a young adult, fresh out of college, and have taught me a lot about the business-- and continue to give me the tools and support to keep learning every day.
What do you love about the Home Building industry?
Seeing a project start out as dirt and finishing into a beautiful neighborhood. The transformation is always fun to watch. Also seeing the joy of people when they see the finished product of their home and dream come to life.
Tell us 3 things about yourself that people don’t know.
- I am a fourth generation Colorado Native
- I am a big sports fan and you can catch me in the crowd at a lot of the professional Denver sporting events
- I love music! Concerts are my happy place. I don’t have a musical bone in my body, but that doesn’t stop me from singing along to every song on the radio.

Being new to the industry, it is great to have a program like the PWB. I always know there are great mentors to turn too if I need advice or support and they are always welcome and willing to help!
