How did you get started in your career? 

After graduating from the University of Denver in 2006 with a business degree, I worked for Steamboat Resorts in Steamboat Springs Colorado. I lived and worked there for more than three years managing vacation properties before relocating back to Denver to work for the Hyatt Regency Convention Center. I decided to make Denver a permanent stay and had always found an interest in finance and joined FirstBank in 2014 and am now an Assistant Vice President focused on loan origination.

Has there been someone along the way that you credit with helping you to get where you are? And why?  

For me it has been a collection of family and friends along the way. They all encouraged me to be successful at different points in my life and to pursue my passions. 

What do you love about the home building industry? 

I enjoy the personal side of the industry. I get a strong sense of satisfaction being a part of most customers’ largest life investment and working with builders that make those dreams become a reality. As a lender, it is a privilege helping customers and builders reach their goals. 

Tell us three things about yourself that people do not know!

1. I am an Eagle Scout
2. I backpacked around Europe during my study abroad and rather than staying in hostiles, I chose park benches. (It was an authentic experience.)
3. I worked for a summer in Bangkok Thailand.
